BackWorkSafe ACT has executed a search warrant in relation to the death of a 47-year-old worker at a construction site in Denman Prospect on Saturday 11 January.
WorkSafe ACT executed a search warrant, supported by the Australian Federal Police and Border Force, to a company director in Denman Prospect on 15 January, to assist their investigations.
ACT Work Safety Commissioner Greg Jones said he would “use all powers available” to “fully and thoroughly” investigate the incident.
“All ACT workplaces, especially in construction including the residential sector, are on notice that WorkSafe will have a strong regulatory focus on businesses meeting their work health and safety responsibilities and we will not tolerate non-compliance with legislative requirements.”
