Simon Butt elected head of MBA

Canberra’s Simon Butt, Chief Executive of Manteena, has been elected National President of Master Builder’s Australia (MBA).

The second MBA National President to hail from the ACT, MBA ACT CEO Michael Hopkins said Butt has a “long and proud history with the MBA”, and is “highly regarded in the ACT as a leader within the building and construction industry”.

“In the early 1990s, he was involved in the MBA ACT Commercial Sector Council, sat on the Executive Committee before becoming Treasurer and eventually President of the MBA ACT. Simon has represented the ACT on the MBA Australia Board since 2012,” he said.

Simon Butt is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Building and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He was appointed an Adjunct Professor at the University of Canberra in 2018.
