QCCP development progresses

The development application (DA) has been lodged for the Queanbeyan Civic and Cultural Precinct (QCCP), to be located on the site of the former Council administration building on Crawford Street.

With an estimated cost of $74 million, the QCCP development will be a “focal point of the Queanbeyan CBD” and will free up a number of Council-owned properties for potential redevelopment. It will include a head office for Council staff, the library, commercial lettable space and space for NSW Government offices. The Council is seeking tenders for the detailed design of the precinct, and will seek expressions of interest later in the year for the precinct’s construction, subject to approval.

The DA is available online via qprc.nsw.gov.au/track-DAs and at the Council’s Queanbeyan customer service centre, with submissions open until 17 March.
