Legal Aid to take over tenants advice service

Legal Aid ACT will take over the Tenants Advice Service (TAS) from 1 April this year, after it was selected as the preferred tenderer by the Justice and Community Safety Directorate.

The TAS provides legal advice to tenants and renters about renting issues in Canberra. Tenants Union ACT has run it previously.

Legal Aid proposed to extend the opening hours of the TAS, and will offer complimentary services such as live chat.
