162 blocks sold at Taylor

A recent four-day ballot saw 162 blocks sold at the Gungahlin suburb of Taylor, the Suburb Land Agency says.

The blocks ranged from $355,000 to $525,000 in price, with an average size of 591sqm.

The ballot was a sell-out, and Suburban Land Agency CEO John Dietz said the market continues to show confidence despite the difficult year that was 2020.

“It’s pleasing to see the continued confidence and strong support Canberrans have for new land releases in Taylor,” he said.

“The new Gungahlin suburb offers a wide range of blocks, excellent community amenities and a natural setting.

“It has been designed to be reminiscent of a traditional Canberra suburb.”

Taylor is home to a primary school, two sporting fields and there are plans for a local shopping precinct. Located 4km from the Gungahlin Town Centre, Taylor will be home to around 2,500 dwellings, both low and medium density.

Additional land in the suburb is expected to be released in 2021-22.
